Location: On-site at Sinclair Interplanetary in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Salary: CAD 114,000–143,000 per year, plus potential stock or cash incentives and an employee stock purchase program.

What you will do
- Lead the manufacturing team in improving efficiency and yield for ADCS satellite components.
- Learn, document, and maintain manufacturing procedures, bills of materials, and work instructions for mechanical and electrical technicians.
- Improve production processes, facilities, workspaces, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
- Review new product designs for design for manufacture and support production cost and schedule studies.
- Analyze manufacturing discrepancies and non-conformances, lead root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Train production personnel and align local business processes with global manufacturing practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment and experience managing and mentoring team members.
- Experience with Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis and corrective action, metrology, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC.
- Knowledge of mechanical processing and assembly, including machining, 3D printing, and coating.
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing, including soldering, dipping, inspection, and rework.
- Familiarity with electromagnetic, thermal, vibration, vacuum, and shock testing.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience designing or manufacturing hardware for space-based systems.
- Experience with Infor LN, PowerBI, SQL, Python, time studies, or layout improvement.
- Familiarity with cleanroom, cleanbench, and ESD-sensitive hardware practices.
- Strong independent problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
