Director Strategy & Transformation

Location: Netherlands, with balanced office-based working in Amsterdam and flexibility to work from home based on team needs and individual circumstances. Work from abroad is available for up to 30 days per year.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise-level strategic and financial analysis across growth, margin expansion, cost productivity, working capital, and cash flow.
• Build sales forecasts, P&L scenarios, sensitivity analyses, value pool assessments, and investment-grade business cases.
• Lead cross-functional transformation work with Functions and Regions, aligning priorities, owners, milestones, and decision points.
• Prepare insight-led Board, Executive Leadership Team, shareholder, and senior stakeholder materials in PowerPoint.
• Track strategic initiative benefits through the value delivery office, identifying risks, mitigation actions, and course corrections.
• Evaluate M&A deals, partnerships, and strategic investments using valuation models and scenario analysis.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Strategy, Corporate Development, Business Transformation, Value Creation, or related senior strategic roles.
• Experience combining top-tier management consulting, preferably for 3–5 years, with industry experience in Strategy, Corporate Development, FP&A, Transformation, or Value Creation.
• Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills, including P&L mechanics, cash flow, margin drivers, FCF, ROI, payback, IRR, and enterprise value impact.
• Experience developing robust business cases for senior decision-makers and translating analysis into executable initiatives.
• Structured, hypothesis-driven problem solving, strong attention to detail, and exceptional PowerPoint skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and a bachelor’s degree; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
