Director, Strategy and M&A, MG-Global

Location: Hybrid position based in Oegstgeest, Netherlands, with home office flexibility up to 3 days per week. Travel up to 20% of the time, primarily within Europe.

Salary: €118,020–€188,832 gross per year.

What you will do

• Partner with General Managers and functional leaders on strategic questions, business performance, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead annual strategic planning for one or two businesses or functions, including workstream design, challenge sessions, and alignment of financial projections with strategy.
• Develop growth strategies for adjacent markets by assessing industry structure, trends, and customer needs.
• Lead critical strategic and business initiatives with cross-functional teams and detailed analysis of business operations.
• Identify acquisition opportunities, participate in M&A processes, present findings to the M&A committee, and support cross-regional strategic assessments.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in science, engineering, business administration, or economics.
• At least 5 years of experience in management consulting and/or corporate development, including M&A experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Ability to work from the Netherlands in a hybrid setup and travel primarily within Europe up to 20% of the time.

• Digital capabilities, particularly AI experience.
