HVAC Apprentice

Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada; onsite five days per week

Annual base salary range: $44,600–$94,400; compensation type: hourly.

What you will do

• Assist experienced service technicians with the installation and repair of environmental control systems.
• Service customer equipment by identifying issues, examining units, diagnosing faults, and planning repairs.
• Coordinate with supervising field technicians, project managers, and customers on installations, materials, and onsite work.
• Use software, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
• Maintain high safety standards and accountability for company-issued assets.
• Participate in mentorship and HVAC industry training.

Requirements

• No industry experience is required; technical school certificates or formal HVAC training will be considered.
• At least 18 years old on the first day of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations in the last three years.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing ladders, accessing rooftops, working in confined spaces, and standing on concrete for extended periods.
• Ability to safely use required personal protective equipment and work around heights, electrical hazards, moving mechanical parts, noise, and variable weather.
