Die Cutter Operator 1st Shift

Location: Cudahy, Wisconsin, United States. Full-time, onsite position on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Pay: $20.00–$26.00 per hour. Sign-on bonus: $2,000.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, and operate auxiliary binding machines and specialized bindery equipment.
• Operate adhesive binding machines that perform vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering, delivering, and stacking operations.
• Coordinate multiple machine workstations and make adjustments to maintain production flow.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and maintain operating conditions.
• Direct the crew through production activities and monitor quality, output, and productivity.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of equipment setup, adjustment procedures, capabilities, and limitations for binding, folding, collating, and cutting printed materials.
• Knowledge of paper weights, sizes, types, colors, and conditions that may require machine adjustments.
• Ability to use standard, specialized, and manufacturer-provided tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Ability to make difficult adjustments to powered machines using hand tools.
• Experience operating folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding or gluing machines.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and maintain dimensional accuracy.
