Risk Management Manager (Fintech)

Location: São Paulo, Brazil; hybrid with at least 3 days in the office

What you will do

• Build, operate, and continuously improve the corporate and regulatory risk governance program for Brazil and the LAC region.
• Provide second-line oversight of risk management programs, control design, control effectiveness, and risk mitigation across products and regulated activities.
• Design data-driven governance processes to identify, measure, prioritize, report, and escalate risk.
• Develop analytics, dashboards, automation, and AI-enabled reporting solutions for executives, committees, and boards.
• Manage regulatory obligations, supervisory engagements, examinations, audits, inquiries, and reporting commitments involving Brazilian authorities.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs, Finance, Internal Audit, Product, and business leadership on regulatory change, licensing, and cross-functional governance initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD.
• Experience in corporate risk governance, risk management, compliance, audit, regulatory management, legal, internal controls, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of Brazilian payment-system regulation, supervisory expectations, and risk management requirements.
• Experience with executive communications, governance reporting, cross-functional programs, project management, and process transformation.
• Experience with data strategies, analytics, reporting, automation, or responsible AI applied to governance and risk decision-making.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Portuguese is required. Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook is also required.

• Experience in payments, banking, fintech, or regulated technology sectors.
• Broader knowledge of the Latin America and Caribbean region.
• Spanish language skills.
• Experience with analytics and visualization tools.
