Accounting Specialist, SA (Finance & Accounting)

Location: São Paulo, Brazil; hybrid work between the office and remote

What you will do

• Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalization, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and construction in progress.
• Account for and monitor right-of-use assets and lease liabilities under IFRS 16, including initial recognition and contract modifications.
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations for asset and lease-related accounts.
• Support financial and internal reporting, monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.
• Strengthen internal controls and contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Solid experience in fixed assets accounting, IFRS 16, lease accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and closing processes.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with internal controls, compliance environments, and process improvement or automation projects.
• Advanced or fluent English is mandatory.
• Ability to work collaboratively and inclusively.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP.
• Spanish skills.
• Experience in a multinational environment.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, or RPA.
