Clinical Content and Training Specialist (Genetic Counseling)

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional travel or onsite attendance may be required for training, meetings, or operational needs.

What you will do

• Curate and maintain clinical reference materials, SOPs, quick reference guides, and workflow documentation.
• Develop and deliver onboarding and ongoing training for genetic counselors, assistants, and clinical support staff.
• Assess training effectiveness and identify retraining, workflow reinforcement, and process improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams on audit readiness, documentation updates, and corrective or preventive actions.
• Represent clinical operations in cross-functional workflow optimization and system improvement initiatives.
• Partner with laboratory and clinical teams to keep training materials aligned with current operational and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without restrictions.
• 8–10+ years of experience in a clinical genetic testing laboratory.
• Master of Science or Master of Arts in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program or equivalent.
• Board certification or eligibility in Genetic Counseling through ABMGG or ABGC.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical and laboratory genetics, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of genetic testing laboratory quality and regulatory standards, including CLIA and CAP; proficiency with learning management and document management systems.

• Experience developing or delivering clinical training content in laboratory, healthcare, or operational settings.
• Experience with quality assurance, audit readiness, documentation updates, or corrective and preventive actions.
• Experience with workflow improvement, process optimization, or cross-functional system enhancement initiatives.
