Clinical Lab Operator I (Genetic Diagnostics)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite laboratory role

Salary: $24.42–$30.53 USD per hour

What you will do

• Assist with testing patient samples according to laboratory standard operating procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, including calibration and expiration-date checks.
• Recognize, troubleshoot, document, and escalate equipment malfunctions, processing errors, and protocol deviations.
• Maintain a clean, organized laboratory workspace and sufficient inventory of supplies and materials.
• Provide guidance to new team members and support teammates with daily laboratory tasks.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects such as TAG and 5S.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biological science or a related field.
• 0–2 years of industry-related experience.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, computer, and technical skills.
• Experience with word processing and data management.
• Ability to work effectively in a group.
• Ability to visually discern color or evaluate cellular morphology when applicable, and pass the required screening assessment.
