Steam Turbine Technical Service Engineer (Power Generation)

Location: Hybrid (Remote/Office) in Orlando, Florida, United States; up to 15% domestic travel required. The first 12–24 months include on-site training at power generation facilities, followed by mostly back-office service planning.

What you will do

• Build knowledge of steam turbine components, power plant systems, and industrial maintenance practices.
• Review operating data, inspection findings, and maintenance reports to identify equipment issues.
• Recommend corrective actions based on technical findings.
• Support field service engineers and project managers with outage planning, work scope development, and service documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, service recommendations, and customer presentations.
• Participate in on-site training covering turbine disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, field service, power generation, or industrial operations; new graduates are welcome.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in rotating equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Ability to access industrial facilities, climb ladders and stairs, occasionally lift up to 30 pounds, and work in noisy, hot, or confined environments is required.
