Operations Technician (Power Generation)

What you will do

• Operate and inspect gas turbines, high-speed reciprocating engines, medium-voltage generators, power distribution systems, environmental controls, and distributed control systems.
• Read drawings, inspect equipment, support pipeline operations, and perform hands-on tasks in accordance with technical standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot technical and operational issues by analyzing data and collaborating with teammates.
• Maintain accurate process-operation records, reports, logs, permits, and compliance documentation.
• Assist with preventive maintenance, construction projects, and other facility responsibilities.
• Follow procedures that protect personnel, the community, the environment, and company assets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duty.
• Ability to travel between locations, including occasional overnight stays.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, loud areas, confined spaces, and elevated areas while using PPE.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Nice to have

• Technician I: at least 6 months of operations experience or an internship with an associate degree.
• Technician II: at least 2 years of operations experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Technician III: at least 3 years of operations experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Senior Technician: at least 6 years of experience with similar equipment or facilities; an associate degree is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PC applications, plus the ability to adopt new technologies.
