Engineer II - Systems

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States. US citizenship or qualifying US person status is required due to US export control requirements. Up to 15% travel may be required.

Salary: $70,304–$143,000 annual base salary, plus potential restricted stock units and quarterly bonuses.

What you will do

• Engineer embedded systems and algorithms for time, position, and RF communications.
• Define requirements, design systems, implement solutions, and perform verification and validation.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, FPGA, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and system integration engineers.
• Coordinate the introduction and release of new products.
• Support equipment installation at customer sites worldwide.
• Contribute to R&D programs in digital signal processing, satellite communications, airborne timing, and navigation systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university.
• 2.5–5 years of experience with systems engineering processes, including requirements definition, design, implementation, verification, and testing.
• Experience with simulation, data processing, and analysis using Python and/or MATLAB.
• Familiarity with digital test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
• Technical leadership, detailed individual contribution, and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• US citizenship or qualifying US permanent residency/protected individual status is required.

Nice to have

• Expertise in digital signal processing, control system design, linear system analysis, or statistical classification algorithms.
• Linux/Unix experience and knowledge of microprocessors, memory devices, and logic devices.
• Experience with precise timing components, oscillators, time measurement circuits, and GPS receivers.
• Experience executing government programs with formal technical reviews and documentation.
• Current TS/SCI or DoD Top Secret clearance.
