Senior Power Systems Consultant

What you will do

• Lead advanced power system studies for transmission planning, generation interconnection, grid modernization, HVDC, FACTS, renewable energy, BESS, and data center projects.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, transient and voltage stability, protection coordination, transfer capability, and dynamic performance analyses.
• Conduct electromagnetic transient studies covering switching transients, harmonics, transient recovery voltage, insulation coordination, and power quality.
• Advise utilities, developers, ISOs/RTOs, and industrial customers on interconnection processes and complex power system challenges.
• Lead multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams while ensuring quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Mentor junior engineers and consultants and contribute to proposals, technical strategy, business growth, and thought leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; an advanced degree in Power Systems Engineering is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience performing transmission-level power system studies and analyses.
• Expertise in load flow, short-circuit, transient and voltage stability, and transmission planning studies.
• Experience with generator interconnection, system impact, and grid compliance studies in North American utility and ISO/RTO environments.
• Proficiency with PSS®E, PSCAD™, PowerFactory, PSLF, ASPEN, or similar platforms.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada is required at the time of application.
