Location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States; onsite in a 24/7/365 data center environment

What you will do
- Complete assigned operations and maintenance activities for data center and other assigned building spaces.
- Use the computerized maintenance management system to track work orders, labor hours, preventive maintenance, and reactive work.
- Respond to building system alarms while preserving the critical load, minimizing equipment damage, and supporting root cause analysis.
- Perform critical switching, lockout/tagout, and safe work-area setup for maintenance and subcontractor activities.
- Coordinate contractor and vendor access, worksite safety, escorts, and maintenance or project work.
- Support equipment evaluations, capacity planning, KPI tracking, and operational improvements.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data centers, operations and maintenance, or building engineering.
- Entry-level electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R skills gained through an associate degree, technical training, or facility maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of work order control procedures, computerized maintenance management systems, subcontractor and vendor contract management, KPI management, capacity planning, and reporting.
- Ability to use hand tools and test equipment, troubleshoot equipment through graphical user interfaces, respond to alarms, and stabilize system operations.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, PC, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Must work onsite on 12-hour shifts, including varying nights, weekends, holidays, on-call coverage, and extended hours during emergencies.
