Behavioral Health Specialist (Mental Health)

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide patient-centered, outcomes-based, evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families aged 12 and older.
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document clinical progress in the EMR.
• Lead support and psychoeducation groups, webinars, and workshops on mental health topics.
• Coordinate care with behavioral health and medical clinicians within an integrated care model.
• Address patients’ social needs and make referrals for specialty care, hospitalization, or advanced psychiatric assessment and treatment.

Requirements

• Master’s-level licensed mental health clinician, such as LPC, LPCC, LISW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, PsyD, or PhD.
• Counseling and mental health services experience, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness and psychological issues.
• BLS certification, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• If pursuing independent licensure, obtain the license within two years of the hire date.
• Ability to apply critical thinking, exercise decisive judgment, work with minimal supervision, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of experience as an independently licensed behavioral health clinician.
• Experience using evidence-based treatments for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other behavioral health disorders.
• Experience with behavioral interventions, critical incident event management, and case management.
