AI Architect (GenAI / MLOps)

What you will do

• Design end-to-end AI/ML and GenAI architectures, including RAG, agents, fine-tuning, and model serving.
• Evaluate LLMs, vector databases, orchestration frameworks, cloud AI services, and MLOps tooling.
• Define reusable reference architectures, engineering patterns, and technical standards.
• Partner with data engineering on pipelines, feature stores, data quality, lakes, warehouses, streaming, APIs, and microservices.
• Establish MLOps and LLMOps practices for CI/CD, evaluation, observability, drift detection, and cost control.
• Lead proofs of concept into production, advise executives on AI strategy and trade-offs, mentor engineers and data scientists, and run architecture reviews.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software or data engineering experience, including 4+ years architecting production AI/ML solutions.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and GenAI, including prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and agent frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
• Deep experience with at least one major cloud platform and its AI services, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AI security, privacy, governance, explainability, and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical leaders.

Nice to have

• Banking, insurance, or asset and wealth management experience, including model-risk regulations such as SR 11-7.
• Experience with Pinecone, pgvector, OpenSearch, fine-tuning, or evaluation frameworks.
• Cloud or architecture certifications, such as AWS ML Specialty, Azure AI Engineer, or TOGAF.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
