Principal Architect - Enterprise AI

Location: Full-time remote role based in the United States

Salary: $153,300–$306,300 annually, depending on state. Colorado: $153,300–$203,100; Washington: $153,300–$279,600; California: $153,300–$306,300; NYC: $185,500–$306,300.

What you will do

• Define enterprise architecture standards, reference patterns, decision frameworks, and governance guardrails for AI-enabled solutions.
• Design scalable patterns for AI workflows and agentic processes across data, APIs, identity, security, and cloud platforms.
• Evaluate AI models, LLMs, agent frameworks, copilots, and related tools for enterprise adoption.
• Design proof-of-concepts, establish success criteria, and guide solutions from pilot to production.
• Lead architecture reviews, communicate trade-offs and risks, and translate business needs into governed implementation-ready solutions.
• Enable teams through demonstrations, workshops, reusable templates, and AI communities of practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise, solution, or platform architecture, including architecture standards, reference patterns, and governance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI and LLM tools, APIs, and agent frameworks.
• Platform architecture experience across integrations, data, cloud infrastructure, APIs, identity, and security.
• Experience with TOGAF or an equivalent enterprise architecture framework and with AWS, Azure, or GCP AI/ML services.
• Experience guiding teams and executive decision-making, plus experience with automation, integration, or orchestration platforms such as n8n, Boomi, MuleSoft, or Workato.
