Sr. Engineering Manager, Frontline Engineering (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, Georgia or Mountain View, California. No travel expected.

Salary: USD $177,000–$325,000 per year, plus potential participation in a corporate bonus program.

What you will do

• Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Frontline Engineering team within UEM Engineering.
• Own the investigation and resolution of complex, high-priority customer escalations across the Workspace ONE UEM platform.
• Establish escalation intake, prioritization, investigation, ownership, resolution, and root-cause analysis practices.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Technical Support, Product Management, TPMs, and Quality Engineering to identify defects, regressions, configuration issues, product gaps, and testing improvements.
• Use escalation patterns and customer impact data to influence fixes, patch candidates, test coverage, and product quality priorities.
• Drive AI-assisted troubleshooting and automation using logs, telemetry, historical escalations, diagnostics, and known-issue data; define metrics for resolution time, recurring issues, and engineering efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineers in software engineering, escalation engineering, sustaining engineering, or a similar technical organization.
• Strong technical background troubleshooting complex enterprise software and distributed systems.
• Experience investigating production or customer-reported issues through root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Strong understanding of software development, testing, debugging, release, and patching processes.
• Experience using logs, telemetry, diagnostics, APIs, databases, and other troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to hire, mentor, and develop engineers while collaborating across teams and balancing customer urgency with long-term product quality.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise mobility management, endpoint or device management, SaaS platforms, or large-scale enterprise software.
• Experience with Workspace ONE UEM or similar endpoint management platforms.
• Experience working with geographically distributed engineering and support organizations.
• Experience with automation, observability, diagnostics, engineering productivity tools, and customer escalation data.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
