What you will do
- Set technical direction across the ML surface, including classical models (clustering, ranking, anomaly detection) and LLM-based agentic systems.
- Define evaluation and monitoring frameworks for ML systems in production, from offline metrics to online experimentation.
- Stay hands-on with code reviews, model designs, and architectural discussions to unblock engineers.
- Manage the team roadmap, scope deliverables, and allocate resources to meet ambitious goals.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leaders to identify high-impact ML opportunities.
- Mentor engineers for career growth and recruit exceptional ML talent.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional engineering experience, with significant time building and shipping production ML systems.
- 3+ years of engineering management experience, ideally leading ML, AI, or data-focused teams.
- Experience deploying and operating ML models at scale, including iteration and monitoring.
- Strong judgment and ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Research background in machine learning, statistics, or a related field (MS, PhD, or equivalent).
