Engineering Manager (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays set as in-office anchor days)

Salary: $220,000 – $280,000

What you will do

• Set technical direction across the ML surface, including classical models (clustering, ranking, anomaly detection) and LLM-based agentic systems.
• Define evaluation and monitoring frameworks for ML systems in production, from offline metrics to online experimentation.
• Stay hands-on with code reviews, model designs, and architectural discussions to unblock engineers.
• Manage the team roadmap, scope deliverables, and allocate resources to meet ambitious goals.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leaders to identify high-impact ML opportunities.
• Mentor engineers for career growth and recruit exceptional ML talent.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional engineering experience, with significant time building and shipping production ML systems.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience, ideally leading ML, AI, or data-focused teams.
• Experience deploying and operating ML models at scale, including iteration and monitoring.
• Strong judgment and ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Research background in machine learning, statistics, or a related field (MS, PhD, or equivalent).
