TL;DR
Senior Facilities Strategy & Policy Analyst (Facilities Management): Supporting Washington Headquarters Service facilities leadership through lifecycle facility-management analysis, policy development, executive writing, and staff support with an accent on reconciling stakeholder information and aligning organizational priorities. Focus on developing decision and directive memoranda, solving complex organizational challenges, and translating technical information into actionable products for senior government leaders.

What you will do

  • Provide senior-level analysis and subject-matter expertise across Facilities Services Directorate initiatives and mission requirements.
  • Support FSD leadership with project execution, solution development, and organizational priorities.
  • Represent FSD in interagency, departmental, and external working groups, committees, and task forces.
  • Research, author, edit, and review executive-level staff packages, memoranda, reports, guidance, strategies, and official correspondence.
  • Synthesize information from multiple stakeholders, reconcile conflicting inputs, and identify appropriate courses of action.
  • Identify root causes, develop solutions to complex organizational challenges, and carry projects through completion or transition.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 20+ years of experience supporting senior general or flag officers and/or SES officials within the Department of War; 15 years accepted with a master’s degree.
  • Knowledge of Department of War and Office of the Secretary of War policies, priorities, strategies, organizational structures, and missions.
  • Experience producing executive-level government documents and applying Department of War correspondence requirements, guides, manuals, and style standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Professionalism, tact, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building skills across military and civilian organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and own initiatives from inception through completion or transition.
