Truck Operations Specialist (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Based in Palmer, Texas, with operations at terminals in Aledo, El Paso, Houston, Palmer, and Phoenix; willingness to commute or relocate to available terminals is required.

Salary: $31.00–$38.50 per hour, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Pilot autonomous semi trucks during on-road and closed-course testing.
• Monitor the hirify.global Driver during extended periods of autonomous operation.
• Record real-time feedback on autonomy and platform performance for engineering teams.
• Escalate operational blockers and propose solutions.
• Maintain current knowledge of software and operational changes, partner applications, certifications, and accreditations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support operational goals, and represent hirify.global when interacting with the public.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial truck-driving experience.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and interstate Class A Commercial Driver’s License required.
• Driving record must meet Motor Vehicle Report guidelines and all DOT qualifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication, proactive prioritization, and strategic decision-making skills.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment, post-incident, and randomized drug testing under FMCSA requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old and available for rotating day or night shifts, overtime, weekends, and up to 50% travel.

Nice to have

• Truck driver trainer or instructor experience.
• Truck technician experience.
• Experience in operations, technology, customer service, or automotive environments.
• G-Suite and command-line interface experience.
• Interest and aptitude for technology tools, apps, gaming, or Adobe Creative Suite.
