Autonomous Vehicle Engineering Technician

Location: In-person in Atlanta, GA; 4–6 weeks of in-person training in Richmond, CA at the start. Occasional work travel may be required.

hirify.global is developing a carbon-neutral public transit system using standardized autonomous vehicles on dedicated roadways.

What you will do

• Support and track configurations and generations of autonomous vehicle test platforms.
• Integrate network and vehicle system components into server racks and assemble custom hardware for Hardware-in-the-Loop testing.
• Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering irons, and other shop, automotive, and diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and document test hardware, equipment, incidents, and hardware changes.
• Build cable harnesses from schematics and drawings and manage cable routing.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams on installations, upgrades, decommissioning, parts receiving, and technical demonstrations.

Requirements

• Experience building, troubleshooting, and diagnosing computers, PCBs, and related systems.
• Proficiency with general shop, automotive, and diagnostic tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering irons.
• Experience building cable harnesses and managing cable routing.
• Working knowledge of computer and networking hardware, plus familiarity with automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift and carry 25–50 lb boxes and work in low-clearance areas while crouching or bending.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Suite, Fleetio, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of network equipment setup and diagnosis.
• Experience running scripts and working with Linux systems.
• Experience with fully electric vehicle systems and high-voltage training.
• Experience driving trucks and trailers or a B.S. in an engineering field.
