Sr. Quality Engineer

Location: Onsite in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, United States. The role requires travel by all forms of transportation.

Salary: $83,400–$155,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead quality assurance initiatives for assigned manufacturing cells and value streams, including KPI generation, reporting, and quality leadership for manufacturing teams.
• Plan and execute internal process and product audits, define countermeasures, and ensure timely closure of resulting actions.
• Develop and maintain quality plans, qualification test matrices, APQP, ISIR, DFMEA, and PFMEA for existing and new products.
• Represent quality management in project teams, lead pilot runs and product releases, and support qualification and serial-release activities.
• Investigate customer complaints, supplier nonconformances, production issues, and product nonconformance reports using root-cause analysis and corrective actions such as 8D.
• Manage supplier quality activities, validate supplier first article inspections, maintain testing equipment, and supervise Quality Technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline; an engineering degree from a four-year university is preferred.
• 6+ years of related Quality Engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and processes.
• Advanced complex problem-solving skills, experience managing technical personnel and complex activities, and required Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under changing deadlines, communicate complex technical instructions, and work effectively with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams.
