What you will do

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with clients who have delinquent accounts.
• Collect payments and establish repayment plans to bring loans current.
• Discuss clients’ financial status and determine reasons for non-payment.
• Refer clients to other Consumer Credit Risk areas when appropriate.
• Document all collection activities and communications in the Debt Manager system.
• Negotiate settlements within department guidelines and complete assigned administrative duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of collections experience.
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external audiences.
• Ability to negotiate assertively and empathetically to obtain favorable resolutions.
• Ability to work under stress, meet deadlines, operate related equipment, and travel if required.
