Software Development Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Cincinnati, OH, United States; effective collaboration across multiple time zones is required.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable microservices and platform integrations.
• Develop and maintain high-performance Java and Spring Boot applications.
• Create and optimize reliable APIs and asynchronous communication systems.
• Implement comprehensive testing, monitoring, alerting, and production-support solutions.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases while optimizing system efficiency and speed.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to refine and deliver technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, microservices architecture, design patterns, APIs, and asynchronous streaming.
• Experience with production support, troubleshooting, cloud computing, and AWS.
• Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, plus CI/CD and production deployment best practices.

Nice to have

• Good understanding of React frontend applications.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code and AWS Kiro.
