Salary: $146,200 - $215,000 USD (depending on location tier)

What you will do

• Design and scale backend services and APIs for core financial infrastructure, including payments, billing, settlements, and ledger systems.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of high-impact initiatives from technical design through rollout and operation.
• Integrate with external payment processors, banking partners, and card networks.
• Implement resilient settlement and reconciliation workflows to ensure absolute financial accuracy.
• Contribute to the evolution of a service-oriented, event-driven architecture using message queues and scalable platforms.
• Maintain mission-critical services with high requirements for uptime, security, and compliance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focusing on Java (Spring Boot, Gradle, JUnit).
• Proven experience designing scalable distributed systems and transactional systems with a focus on idempotency and fault tolerance.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, Aurora RDS, DynamoDB), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) and observability tools like DataDog.
• Must be eligible to work in the US, Canada, Australia, or South America.
