What you will do
- Design, test, implement, and maintain enterprise server, storage, and network configurations across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
- Develop PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripts to automate routine systems administration tasks.
- Apply security patches, manage Active Directory access controls, and perform vulnerability scanning.
- Design and maintain backup schedules, retention policies, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, optimize resource allocation, and support high availability.
- Act as the primary Tier 2/3 escalation point, mentor junior team members, and coordinate vendors and system migrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–10 years of professional systems administration experience in medium- to large-enterprise environments.
- Advanced experience managing and troubleshooting Windows and macOS environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, or AWS deployments.
- Deep experience with VMware or Hyper-V and cloud environments such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
- Strong root-cause problem-solving and communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Rippling, or Snowflake.
- Experience in fintech, insurance, or broader financial services.
