Human Resources Business Partner

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan; onsite five days per week

Annual base salary: $75,700–$135,834.99, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Act as an HR strategic business partner for a focused factory team of approximately 550 employees.
• Develop and execute HR plans, policies, and programs covering talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, communications, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with talent acquisition and factory leadership on recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and hourly staffing.
• Analyze and report HR metrics such as absenteeism, overtime, staffing levels, and engagement to guide business decisions and improvement initiatives.
• Conduct compliance training, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and employee relations activities, including matters involving harassment, ethics, discrimination, and policy violations.
• Support leadership with labor relations, termination matters, employee communications, coaching, counseling, and organizational change.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• At least five years of experience in human resources.
• Experience with complex personnel investigations and employment legislation compliance.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, conflict management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with PeopleSoft, UKG Time and Attendance, Tableau, or Visier is preferred.
