Production Supervisor (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Mojave, California, United States; onsite work in a fabrication and assembly shop and aircraft hangar. The role follows a 9/80 schedule.

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 annually, plus eligibility for up to a 10% annual bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate mechanical assembly, structural integration, and general production operations across prototype and structured production builds.
• Supervise, train, and support production teams while enforcing accountability, safety, quality, PPE, equipment, and FOD-free work practices.
• Collaborate with Production Control, Programs, and other departments to execute production schedules and support program delivery.
• Use MES, digital tools, and data analytics to improve safety, repeatability, throughput, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor labor and material usage, production metrics, capacity, workforce development, and risks affecting schedule, cost, or quality.
• Support on-aircraft integration and final assembly, maintain build documentation and traceability, and represent production in program reviews.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing, with supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical assembly, structural integration, and production processes.
• Experience coordinating, mentoring, and supporting production teams in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment.
• Experience with MES systems, production documentation, reporting tools, and production metrics.
• Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methods.
• Ability to work onsite in Mojave and perform standing, manual dexterity, occasional lifting, PPE use, and mobility around aircraft structures.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Experience transitioning aerospace or advanced manufacturing programs from prototypes to production.
• Background in R&D, rapid prototyping, or startup environments.
• Lean or continuous improvement certifications such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
• Experience implementing production tooling, workstations, and infrastructure for repeatable builds.
