Department Leader, Operations (Manufacturing)

Location: New Albany, Ohio, United States. Onsite work required from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM on a 2-2-3 shift schedule.

Salary: $80,000–$133,000 annual national target base pay. California and New York metro range: $88,000–$146,000. Additional compensation may include an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Execute the Annual Operating Plan for the assigned department and manage operating expenditures.
• Lead daily shift operations while meeting safety, quality, productivity, cost, reliability, and schedule-attainment goals.
• Coordinate material and finished-goods flow with Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Distribution, HR, Engineering, and other departments.
• Investigate nonconformance reports and drive root-cause problem solving and CAPA development with Quality.
• Coach employees, build high-performing teams, provide feedback, and oversee cross-training and performance management for up to 25 direct reports.
• Lead Autonomous Maintenance, daily improvement initiatives, raw-material and yield analysis, equipment troubleshooting, and process-control improvements.

Requirements

• Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• At least four years of experience in a manufacturing or consumer-packaged-goods environment, including supervisory or leadership experience.
• Knowledge of SOPs and cGMPs in a CPG environment, with experience auditing cGMP, batch-record accuracy, and TPM requirements.
• Experience leading and coaching Autonomous Maintenance projects, prioritizing and delegating operational work, and delivering shift results.
• Working knowledge of MRP, WMS, and radio-frequency systems; proficiency in Word, Excel, JD Edwards MRP, and PowerPoint is preferred.
• Must be able to work onsite from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM on a 2-2-3 shift schedule and must already have U.S. work authorization.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma or Lean/Continuous Improvement experience.
• Relevant experience in the specific department and proficiency with Word, Excel, JD Edwards MRP, and PowerPoint.
