Senior Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States only. Candidates outside the domestic U.S. cannot be hired.

Base salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other activities supporting financial close and reporting.
• Research, establish, and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures in accordance with US GAAP.
• Support internal controls and audit readiness by coordinating audit requests, testing, compliance administration, and documentation.
• Design and document accounting processes, identify automation opportunities, and improve inefficient workflows.
• Investigate and resolve accounting process gaps, including unresolved reconciling items and undocumented procedures.
• Partner with accounting, finance, treasury, data, and other teams to implement systems, processes, and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, FloQast, Looker, or similar accounting and reporting platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional and external collaboration.

Nice to have

• High-growth payments or fintech experience.
• 1–2 years of financial audit or consulting experience.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Claude, Cowork, or other AI-enabled tools and platforms.
