What you will do

• Review customer collection orders and translate requirements into priorities, imaging parameters, delivery timelines, and quality expectations.
• Develop and optimize satellite imagery collection plans based on collection geometry, satellite capacity, operational constraints, and expected image quality.
• Enter, update, and monitor collection orders, execution progress, product availability, service level agreements, and image quality indicators.
• Identify failed or delayed collections, quality concerns, capacity conflicts, and other operational risks; initiate resolution or escalation.
• Coordinate with flight operations, customers, product, engineering, processing, and delivery teams on requirements, status, technical support, and urgent requests.
• Prepare operational reports and maintain metrics, logs, decision records, documentation, dashboards, and automated workflows; support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in remote sensing, geospatial science, geography, GIS, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• At least two years of relevant experience in remote sensing, satellite imagery, geospatial operations, collection management, mission planning, imagery analysis, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of remote sensing fundamentals, satellite imagery, image processing, collection geometry, and image quality factors.
• Project management or operational coordination experience, including prioritization, schedule tracking, issue management, and status reporting.
• Proficiency with GIS tools such as QGIS or comparable geospatial software, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Full professional proficiency in Japanese and English, written and spoken, is required. Availability to support operational emergencies and priority customer requirements outside normal business hours is also required.

• Project Management Professional certification or an equivalent project management credential.
