Operations Technical Trainer (Second Shift)

Location: Valencia, California, United States; onsite production-floor role on the second shift. May require working other shifts as needed.

Salary: $59,000–$98,000 annual base pay for candidates in California. The package may also include an annual performance bonus, medical, dental and vision benefits, 401(k) match, wellness benefits, and overtime pay for eligible employees.

What you will do

• Facilitate hands-on equipment and process training for operators and conduct documented skill assessments and recertifications.
• Serve as the first point of contact for new-hire training after orientation.
• Use and update SOP, Job Instruction, and Job Instruction Breakdown materials, applying the Training Within Industry Job Instruction methodology.
• Monitor production-floor performance, provide structured coaching and retraining, and support One Point Lesson rollouts.
• Track training effectiveness through proficiency, error-reduction, and completion metrics.
• Partner with EHS, Quality, Operations, and Operations Excellence teams on GMP, GDP, safety, process rollout, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including one to two years in a training or supervisory capacity.
• Three to five years of experience conducting technical training in manufacturing.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, preferably in Gummies or Packaging departments.
• Ability to conduct practical tests and on-the-floor assessments, deliver instruction, provide constructive feedback, and influence behavior change.
• Basic computer skills, including Cornerstone LMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience or certification in the Training Within Industry Job Instruction methodology.
