Sr MES Engineer

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead site-level MES implementations from planning and discovery through go-live, stabilization, and handoff.
• Assess site readiness, document manufacturing processes and data flows, and resolve process-model gaps and local deviations.
• Translate manufacturing, quality, operations, and compliance needs into process, functional, and data requirements with acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate SAP-to-MES master data, transactional flows, interfaces, exception handling, testing, and cutover dependencies.
• Lead system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, regression testing, data validation, and readiness reviews.
• Coordinate operational readiness, change management, training, go-live, hypercare, lessons learned, and transition to ongoing support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, manufacturing systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, including 3+ years with MES or digital shop-floor implementations.
• Experience participating in or leading at least one MES, digital manufacturing, or shop-floor system implementation across multiple lifecycle phases.
• Working knowledge of data mapping, SQL and reporting, APIs or middleware, and industrial automation interfaces.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution Semiconductor or another enterprise MES platform.
• Experience with SAP-to-MES integration, manufacturing master data, interface testing, or production transaction flows.
• Experience in semiconductor, high-tech, regulated, or other complex manufacturing environments.
• Lean, Six Sigma, project management, or change management certification.
