Shipping & Receiving Supervisor (Defense Aerospace)

Salary: $66,000–$94,500 USD annually

What you will do

• Supervise inbound and outbound shipping and receiving operations for aerospace components, assemblies, tooling, and controlled materials.
• Review packing lists, bills of lading, certifications, DD forms, and other shipping documentation.
• Maintain chain of custody, lot and serial traceability, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and controlled storage procedures.
• Coordinate receiving inspections, nonconforming material processing, and ERP/MRP inventory transactions with Quality Assurance and Supply Chain.
• Lead warehouse personnel, assign workloads, monitor productivity, conduct performance reviews, and support training.
• Promote lean manufacturing, FIFO, 5S, safe material flow, and production staging and kitting.

Requirements

• 5+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of defense aerospace quality and compliance requirements, including AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and DFARS.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Costpoint, or Epicor.
• Understanding of inventory control, material traceability, and certification documentation.
• Must be able to verify identity and authorization to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting DoD, military, or government contracts.
• Familiarity with NADCAP documentation, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
• Hazardous material shipping certification.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
