Senior Manager, Operations Communications (AI Cloud)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; the role supports a large in-office and in-field workforce. Applicants must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements, including being a U.S. person, eligible to access controlled information without authorization, or eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required authorization.

Base salary: $149,000–$198,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits based on eligibility.

What you will do

• Advise the COO on audience, timing, tone, channels, communications opportunities, and executive priorities.
• Build and manage the COO’s organizational narrative and message architecture.
• Prepare the COO for All Hands meetings, employee engagements, speaking engagements, and other internal and external communications moments.
• Draft and edit remarks, talking points, business updates, Q&As, leadership messages, and video scripts for a large, distributed, operationally critical workforce.
• Lead communications for major initiatives, organizational change, and leadership transitions while strengthening employee understanding, engagement, and alignment.
• Establish communications planning and review processes, partner across functions, and measure communications effectiveness to identify gaps and improve results.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in executive, internal, or strategic communications, including significant experience supporting C-suite executives in a complex, cross-functional organization.
• Track record of simplifying technical or operational complexity for a broad audience.
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills, with judgment and discretion for handling sensitive information.
• Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
• Ability to move between strategy and execution, manage multiple high-impact workstreams, work proactively through ambiguity, and maintain organization and attention to detail.
• Understanding of how communications cadence, channels, feedback, and measurement create organizational clarity.
• Collaborative approach to connecting perspectives across functions and levels while maintaining momentum and discretion.
• Fluency in AI tools and comfort using them to streamline daily work.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI, cloud, enterprise technology, or another fast-moving, highly technical industry.
• Experience supporting communications for infrastructure-intensive businesses such as data centers, energy, manufacturing, industrial technology, logistics, telecommunications, or similar organizations.
