Offshore Wind Technician (Wind)

Location: United States of America; Coastal Virginia offshore wind project. The role requires up to 80% travel during technical training and an offshore 2-weeks-on/2-weeks-off shift pattern during operations.

Salary: $56,100–$104,300 per year, plus overtime and eligibility for the Gainshare bonus program.

What you will do

• Perform offshore service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Direct Drive wind turbines.
• Support high first-time fix rates, turbine availability, and customer service quality.
• Lead and maintain safe practices onshore, aboard the Service Operations Vessel, inside turbines, and throughout the wind farm.
• Report incidents, accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
• Work effectively in teams of at least two people while analyzing and resolving issues independently.
• Ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards and U.S. EHS, quality, and service legislation.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• High school diploma or GED required; candidates nearing completion of technical degrees or certifications may be considered.
• Relevant wind industry experience or knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, maintenance, or troubleshooting work from military, industrial, or automotive environments.
• Ability to work at heights while suspended and in confined spaces.
• Body weight of 265 pounds or less, as required by safety regulations.
• Ability to pass a job-related physical examination and work a flexible schedule.
