Staff Metrology Engineer

Location: Teparuk, Thailand; onsite role. Periodic evening meetings may be required to collaborate with U.S.-based engineering partners.

What you will do

• Lead metrology and characterization strategy for advanced HGA process development.
• Define measurement approaches for key KPIVs and KPOVs to evaluate process performance, variation, and sensitivity.
• Operate and advance laboratory-based metrology and characterization tools.
• Correlate measurement techniques and tools to ensure consistent, accurate, and reliable data.
• Partner with process architects, tool engineers, controls engineers, and internal and external metrology teams.
• Develop data analysis approaches and robust characterization methods to support experimentation, decision-making, and process scaling.

Requirements

• Background in metrology, materials characterization, or precision measurement in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with laboratory-based measurement or characterization tools.
• Understanding of measurement accuracy, repeatability, and correlation across systems.
• Ability to analyze complex or variable data and connect measurement results to process behavior.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, initiative, and technical leadership skills.
• Good written and spoken English is required for collaboration with global engineering teams.

• Exposure to optical, mechanical, electrical, or surface analysis techniques.
