Senior Manager, Engineering (Onsite - Irvine)

Location: Fully onsite at the Irvine, California manufacturing site, United States; travel under 10%.

Annual base salary: $167,100–$250,650, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing engineering, maintenance engineering, equipment reliability, process improvement, and technical production support for the Irvine site.
• Manage approximately five engineers and provide leadership oversight to the maintenance organization of approximately ten employees.
• Own technical strategies for equipment uptime, reliability, capacity, safety, quality, cost, and production performance.
• Lead structured problem solving, corrective actions, equipment upgrades, process improvements, commissioning, qualification support, and production ramp activities.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, spare parts, EAM/CMMS discipline, machine shop activities, vendors, budgets, capital plans, and project timelines.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, Facilities, HR, Finance, and global engineering teams while developing technical talent and safety programs.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in manufacturing, automation, equipment reliability, maintenance engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading engineers, technical leaders, and maintenance organizations in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced root cause analysis, data analysis, structured troubleshooting, and corrective action capabilities.
• Understanding of quality systems, change control, process validation support, documentation, and regulated manufacturing expectations.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC, TPM, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement methods.
• Preferred: bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, and 5+ years of people leadership experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment, controls, vision systems, robotics, fixtures, tooling, and high-volume production.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, EAM/CMMS, CAD or drawing review tools, manufacturing execution systems, and data visualization tools.
