Quality Engineering Manager (Assembly Packaging Testing Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid role based at hirify.global sites in Hillsboro, Oregon; Phoenix, Arizona; or Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States.

Salary: $191,220–$269,950 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing quality programs and culture across FSO, bumping, wafer-level assembly, EMIB, base wafer, die preparation, hybrid bonding, optical packaging, silicon photonics, and assembly test development.
• Manage Quality Program Managers and Quality Program Engineers across Arizona, Oregon, and New Mexico.
• Drive quality systems, process improvement, excursion management, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead Quality Review Boards and govern escalation and decision-making for major quality issues using the 8D standard.
• Partner with Supplier Quality & Reliability, equipment, materials, contract services, automation, customer-facing quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Define and execute strategies to improve quality KPIs, manufacturing yield, reliability, robustness, and consistency across Foundry sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of fab or assembly manufacturing experience with a strong understanding of process control systems and methodologies.
• 5+ years of people management experience leading technical teams with demonstrated results.
• Extensive experience leading quality programs, quality systems, cross-organizational initiatives, and major quality excursions.
• Experience partnering with supplier quality organizations and driving supplier improvement programs.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, program management, execution, and cross-functional influencing skills.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, assembly, substrate, and test processes.
• Experience supporting Foundry customers.
• Understanding of industry-standard Quality & Reliability support expectations.
