Focus on leading continuous improvement initiatives, implementing root-cause analysis and mistake-proofing, introducing automation and robotic welding technologies, and managing engineering changes across cross-functional manufacturing projects.
Location: Onsite at the Berea, Kentucky manufacturing facility, United States

What you will do
- Develop and maintain equipment specifications, tooling requirements, manufacturing processes, work instructions, inspection standards, and time studies.
- Provide day-to-day engineering support, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize assigned manufacturing areas.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methods, Poka-Yoke, root-cause analysis, and Six Sigma tools.
- Research and introduce manufacturing technologies, equipment, tooling, automation, and robotic welding systems.
- Manage engineering changes and keep drawings, routings, process standards, and quality documentation accurate.
- Support new product introductions, equipment upgrades, layout improvements, and capital projects with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Level I: 1–2 years of manufacturing experience; Level II: 3–5 years; Level III: 5+ years.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, process improvement, structured problem-solving, and corrective-action methods.
- Analytical, troubleshooting, planning, organizational, time-management, written communication, and teamwork skills.
- Technical knowledge of machining, welding, mechanical and electromechanical assembly, automation, PLC fundamentals, torque tooling, and time studies.
- Level III requires subject-matter expertise in at least one major manufacturing process area.
Nice to have
- AWS Certified Welding Engineer certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Welding Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Fanuc robotic welding equipment and automation.
