What you will do

• Support the design and implementation of lean manufacturing processes, equipment layouts, material flows, and work-center improvements.
• Develop, maintain, and train production, assembly, and warehouse teams on manufacturing work instructions.
• Support cost-saving initiatives, kaizens, value-stream planning, and waste-reduction activities across departments.
• Provide daily tactical support on the shop floor and help resolve manufacturing challenges with electrical and mechanical engineering teams.
• Train and mentor manufacturing teams on lean tools including VSM, 5S, Kaizen, SMED, Design for Lean, and MDI.
• Maintain production master data, including routings and work-center setup, for new and existing materials.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical discipline and 1–3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent internal manufacturing qualification.
• Background in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering.
• Experience or familiarity with lean concepts, continuous flow, 5S, value stream mapping, and Kaizen.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mechanical design software such as Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs and work in various physical positions for prolonged periods.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of fabrication processes such as welding, machining, metal forming, or polishing.
