Electrical Hardware Development Lead (Electrical Hardware)

Location: Remote within the United States; some assignments require travel for integration and test. On-site work is based at the 8800 Queen Avenue facility in Bloomington, Minnesota. U.S. citizenship is required, and applicants must be eligible to access classified information.

Salary: USD $149,902–$166,298 per year.

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineers through the complete hardware development lifecycle.
• Develop electrical architectures, trade studies, technical plans, cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Manage electrical requirements, interfaces, component selections, and design constraints.
• Guide schematic development, PWB layout, signal and power integrity analysis, design verification, and hardware integration.
• Coordinate activities across systems, mechanical, software, firmware, manufacturing, test, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Lead design reviews, resolve complex hardware issues, support production transition and sustainment, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for access to classified information are required.
• Expertise in electrical hardware development across the full program lifecycle, including digital and analog circuit design, high-speed interfaces, power architecture, component selection, and design verification.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary or geographically distributed engineering teams and working with customers, program leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with circuit card assemblies, advanced materials and packaging, memory devices, and high-speed communication or storage protocols.
• Knowledge of Siemens/Mentor Graphics tools, HyperLynx signal and power integrity analysis, EVMS, Control Account Management, and engineering change management.

• Direct experience working with or for large defense prime contractors.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire.
• Experience identifying opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
