Lead Electrical Engineer (Video Products)

What you will do

• Define product requirements and electrical system architectures in collaboration with project managers, product managers, designers, and engineering teams.
• Specify, design, review, and qualify electronics hardware solutions for webcams and other video devices.
• Own electrical design from concept through manufacturing, including design reviews and product implementation.
• Evaluate competing products, components, and technologies based on performance, user experience, cost, reliability, risk, and manufacturability.
• Plan component roadmaps, influence supplier strategies, and coordinate with suppliers, design partners, and factories.
• Develop test tools and fixtures and perform electrical characterization, product qualification, signal and power integrity, EMC, and functional verification.

Requirements

• More than 10 years of practical experience in consumer electronics, particularly video products.
• Strong system-level understanding, including architecture definition, platform bring-up, thermal considerations, and functional validation.
• Experience developing camera products and familiarity with image sensors, ISP architectures, camera modules, and system integration.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces such as USB 3.x, MIPI CSI, DDR, PCIe, I²C, SPI, and UART, as well as UVC products and USB Type-C integration.
• Experience with power architecture, DC/DC systems, power sequencing, low-power optimization, test fixtures, CPK validation, EMC, and regulatory testing.
• Knowledge of schematic and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro, programming and automation with Python or similar tools, EE lab instruments, and fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to travel internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI vision, computer vision, or edge AI products.
• Experience with motor control systems, including stepper and BLDC motors.
• Knowledge of analog circuit design and familiarity with RF systems and testing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
