Hardware Platform Applications Engineer (Military & Aerospace)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; additional locations in Folsom and Santa Clara, California, and Hillsboro, Oregon. Hybrid work model with time split between an assigned hirify.global site and off-site work. US citizenship and US work authorization are required; ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance is required.

Annual salary: $122,440–$232,190 USD.

What you will do

• Engage customers and support customer-developed systems, including on-site power-on support.
• Define and develop proof-of-concept systems and demonstrations.
• Replicate and debug customer-reported platform issues and support analysis teams with field quality returns.
• Develop and present technical collateral, white papers, and training materials for customers, ecosystem providers, and sales channels.
• Work with platform and chipset software architects to finalize platform hardware requirements and participate in product and program meetings.
• Review customer platform schematics and layouts, use laboratory measurement equipment, and operate Linux-based machines and tools to build and flash software components and facilitate debugging.

Requirements

• US citizenship.
• Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of end-to-end platform hardware board design experience covering circuit design, schematic capture, platform design guideline creation, and bring-up/power-on debug.
• Strong attention to detail in creating customer-ready collateral, white papers, and training materials.
• Ability to work independently, multitask effectively, and contribute successfully in a multifunctional team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• Active US Government Security Clearance at a minimum Secret level.
• Postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience building technical relationships with customers and communicating technical concepts to external military and aerospace customers.
• Experience leading customer-site hardware or software power-on efforts, including power-on boot-flow and CPU-interface debugging.
• Strong laboratory debugging skills using debuggers, protocol analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Experience performing signal integrity or power integrity simulations on customer designs.
• Experience with hirify.global power delivery architecture and general SoC bring-up challenges.
• Experience working with government sponsor agencies and members of the Defense Industrial Base.
