Principal Cost Analyst

Location: On-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Review, analyze, assess, and develop cost estimates for future concepts, existing programs, and system architectures.
• Provide cost insights and recommendations to senior decision-makers for acquisition and budget decisions.
• Prepare resource management decisions, Program Objective Memorandum inputs, and project execution documentation.
• Assess cost risks and apply uncertainty analysis to each estimate.
• Align Work Breakdown Structure elements with MIL-STD-881.
• Develop data-driven software and hardware cost-estimating methodologies and statistical cost models using approved tools and databases.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience performing cost-estimating activities for aircraft and/or spacecraft applications.
• Experience supporting DoD space programs and knowledge of Air Force and Space Command processes and terminology.
• Working knowledge of ACEIT is desired.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in mathematics, engineering, or the sciences; relevant degrees in management, business, economics, finance, or accounting are also considered.
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Professional certification such as PE, PMP, ICEAA, or EVP is highly recommended but not required.
