Senior Technical Assistance Consultant (Postsecondary Education)

Location: Must be based in the United States (remote or at an AIR office). This role does not include U.S. territories.

Salary: $127,000–$140,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead cross-sector technical assistance efforts to strengthen alignment between postsecondary education, workforce systems, and community organizations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on work-based learning, apprenticeships, and non-degree credential programs.
• Conduct policy and program analysis to evaluate funding streams, service delivery models, and institutional practices.
• Translate research into actionable tools, toolkits, and training materials for practitioners.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with federal, state, and foundation clients.

Requirements

• Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Ph.D. with 3+ years, Master’s with 7+ years, or Bachelor’s with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of postsecondary education, workforce development, and career pathways within community college environments.
• Experience delivering technical assistance to public agencies, nonprofits, or higher education institutions.
• Strong project management, proposal writing, and client relationship management skills.
