Product & Privacy Counsel (AI)

Location: Full-time in-office at the headquarters in American Fork, Utah, United States

What you will do

• Advise Product and Engineering teams on privacy, data protection, and consumer protection throughout the product lifecycle.
• Structure, draft, and negotiate DPAs, MSAs, SOWs, and strategic vendor agreements.
• Monitor emerging state, federal, and international privacy laws and AI regulations, translating them into operational strategies.
• Review customer privacy questionnaires, security reviews, RFPs, and legal due diligence requests.
• Support data mapping, policy updates, privacy governance, and enterprise compliance initiatives.
• Develop scalable legal templates and playbooks, and use AI tools to improve contract review, research, and drafting workflows.

Requirements

• Deep practical knowledge of privacy frameworks including CCPA/CPRA and GDPR.
• Extensive experience managing and negotiating commercial technology agreements.
• J.D. from an accredited institution and 4–6 years of relevant legal experience.
• Active Utah bar license or qualification for a Utah limited in-house counsel license required.
• Ability to explain complex legal, regulatory, and technical concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• CIPP/US, AIGP, or similar professional certification.
