Associate General Counsel, Privacy Compliance (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based in London, UK. Candidates may occasionally need to attend an in-person interview at a hirify.global office or hub.

hirify.global operates a large global network that protects and accelerates Internet applications and provides privacy- and security-focused infrastructure services.

What you will do

• Oversee the Office of the Data Protection Officer and maintain hirify.global’s privacy compliance program.
• Advise on AI, privacy, and data protection regulations across the EMEA region, including the GDPR and EU AI Act.
• Guide teams on cross-border data transfers, privacy by design, data subject requests, processing records, and privacy and AI impact assessments.
• Review privacy and AI risks related to vendors, commercial contracts, security incidents, M&A due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.
• Create playbooks, FAQ libraries, policies, and guidance for legal and non-legal stakeholders.

Requirements

• LLB, JD, or equivalent degree with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to practice law in a jurisdiction where hirify.global has an office, or qualification as a U.S. or UK lawyer.
• 10+ years of relevant legal experience advising a global company on international privacy and data protection matters.
• Expert knowledge of EMEA AI, privacy, and data protection laws and compliance regimes.
• Strong communication, drafting, prioritization, collaboration, and stakeholder-advisory skills.
• Ability to work flexibly on occasion with a globally distributed team and familiarity with technology is highly desirable.

• Technical or scientific background and a strong interest in technology.
