Legal Counsel, US

Location: New York, Boston, Miami, Atlanta, or fully remote from approved countries. Most days must be spent in the Milan office during the first few months, after which office-based or remote work is agreed at the offer stage.

Salary: $204,281 annual salary for candidates with limited experience; typically $257,642–$522,120 for candidates with exceptional potential and highly unusual achievement. Compensation varies by location and expected impact.

What you will do

• Support cross-border acquisitions through due diligence, transaction-document drafting, and post-completion integration.
• Draft, review, and negotiate confidentiality, consulting, licensing, SaaS, vendor, customer, and other technology agreements.
• Partner with product teams on global launches, including external communications, legal terms, and policies.
• Advise business functions on technology, marketing, commercial, regulatory, intellectual property, consumer protection, and AI governance matters.
• Manage US and international disputes and litigation with external counsel.
• Build scalable legal forms, playbooks, and AI-powered workflows while monitoring regulatory developments.

Requirements

• Law degree and experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel.
• Experience with complex legal and commercial matters relevant to acquisitions, technology products, contracts, or disputes.
• Proficient English in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Strong reasoning, structured problem-solving, attention to detail, initiative, and ownership.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and with external counsel in a demanding, high-performance environment.
